Sea kayak course in Varazze

Da circa un mese non riesco a dormire più di due notti consecutive a casa...
Dopo un breve soggiorno romano, stasera partiamo per la Liguria per un fine settimana di corsi a Varazze:
con Mauro e la "Mauromobile" attrezzata per la notte!
Il tempo non si preannuncia dei migliori, ma ho sempre detto che non è grave se per caso piove: acqua sotto e acqua sopra, in kayak non si nota molto la differenza.
Spero stavolta di riuscire a trovare il tempo per pubblicare qualche bella foto al nostro rientro, anche perchè l'occasione è resa molto attraente (e forse anche impegnativa) dalla partecipazione al corso di due illustri bambini: Elia e Loris, figli d'arte che già da anni solcano mari e laghi in kayak!

From about one month I don't succed to sleep for two consecutive nights in my home...
After a brief stay in Rome, we move again tonight to reach Liguria coast for a seakayak course weekend: with Mauro and the "Maurocar" equipped for the night!
The weather is not preannounced of its best, but I usually say that it is not serious if it rains: rain below and rain above, if you're in kayak you don't realize the difference.
I hope to find the time to publish some beautiful photos this time, because there is a very attractive (and perhaps also binding) perspective: two childrens to the course, Elia and Loris, with a bit experience in sea kayak!

Smilla

Il recente viaggio a Copenaghen mi ha fatto venire voglia di rileggere un bel romanzo: Il senso di Smilla per la neve, dello scrittore danese Peter Hoeg.
Si possono imparare alcuni dei tanti modi di chiamare neve la neve e ghiaccio il ghiaccio, definizioni per noi impensabili ed incomprensibili ma che per gli Inuit acquistano un valore estremamente importante per poter distinguere le infinite varietà di neve e ghiaccio...
E tante cose del libro si apprezzano meglio dopo aver viaggiato qualche giorno a quelle latitudini!

After our recent trip in Copenaghen, I have the desire to read again the beautiful novel "Smilla's sense of snow", written by the Danish writer Peter Hoeg.
There a lot of different definitions of snow and ice, unthinkable and incomprehensible for us but extremely important for the Inuits to be able to distinguish the endless varieties of snow and ice...
I appreciated better the book after having traveled a few days to those latitudes!

Copenaghen!

Siamo arrivati ieri a Copenaghen: sei amici con la passione per il kayak da mare alla scoperta della capitale danese!
Il programma di massima prevede due giorni in kayak lungo i canali della città e due giorni in bici lungo le sue piste ciclabili: attrezzatura a noleggio e mille emozioni da provare!
Colori, luci e suoni sono molto attrattivi e seducenti e l'amica Merete, conosciuta al Simposio di Anglesey lo scorso mese di maggio, ci farà oggi da guida d'eccezione.
L'ospitalità garantita da una simpatica "couch surfer" con una grande casa di otto stanze a dieci minuti dalla stazione centrale rende il soggiorno certamente speciale...
Esplorare il mondo in kayak da mare è davvero una gran bel modo di viaggiare!!!

We arrived in Copenaghen yesterday: six friends with the passion for sea kayak to discovery the Danish capital!
The program foresees two days paddling along the city channels and two days biking: rental equipments and gears, obviously, and so many experiences to try!
Colors, lights and sounds are very attractive and seductive and my friend Merete, met to the Anglesey Sea kayak Symposium in May, will offer us a special guide tour.
The hospitality is guaranteed by a nice "couch surfer" with a great house of eight rooms, ten minutes from the central station: it certainly makes special our Danish stay...
Explore the world paddling in a sea kayak is a very interesting way to travel!!!

Last evening in the swimming pool

E' l'ultima sera in piscina!
Dalla prossima settimana i corsi di eskimo si svolgeranno sul lago...
Nonostante il livello ancora alto, le temperature sono salite abbastanza per praticare la manovra in spazi naturali più ampi della pur accogliente piscina di Besozzo.
Arrivederci alla prossima stagione invernale!

This is the last evening in swimming pool!
From the next week we will move the eskimo roll courses on the lake...
Despite the tall level the water temperatures have been raised enough to practise the manoeuvre in a natural and ampler space than the pleasant swimming pool.
Good-bye to the next winter season!
