Piedi caldi, testa fredda!

Io ho sempre freddo, in kayak e a terra.
Chi mi conosce sa che anche d'estate viaggio con una giacca di pile... e che d'inverno dormo in un sacco a pelo da -25°C con un pigiama di pile... riuscendo anche a svegliarmi per i piedi freddi!
Mia mamma mi ha regalato una nutrita collezione di babbucce di lana fatte a mano: perfette per la notte.
Mauro, invece, ha escogitato un sistema semplice ed efficace per tenere i piedi al caldo quando usciamo in kayak: un paio di solette di nylon, spesse un millimetro, da infilare nei calzari.
Sono isolanti ed aumentano la protezione del piede sia dal freddo che dal terreno accidentato. Si possono bagnare senza rilasciare cattivi odori e si possono adattare ad ogni tipo di calzatura da kayak. Sono economiche e riciclabili.
Le abbiamo usate con soddisfazione in Sardegna durante l'ultimo viaggio invernale.
Le useremo ancora il prossimo fine settimana alla Palmaria, dove trascorreremo tre giorni di campeggio nautico in ottima compagnia con la scusa migliore possibile: festeggiare il compleanno dell'Uomo di Ferro!

I always feel cold, when I'm in kayak and when I'm on the land.
Someone knows that I usually use a pile jacket also during the summer season... and that in winter I sleep in a -25°C sleeping bag, dressing a very warm pajamas... and sometimes I wake up because of cold feet!
My mother has given me a good collection of hand made wool knee socks.
Mauro has thought up a simple system to hold the warm feet when we do kayaking: a pair of nylon insoles, thick a millimeter, to insert into the sea kayak bootes.
They are insulating and they increase the protection of the foot both from the cold and from the uneven ground. They can be wetted without releasing bad smell and they can be accommodated to every type of kayak footwear. They are economic and recyclable.
We've used them in Sardinia during our last winter sea kayak trip and we will again use them next weekend to the Palmaria Island, where we will spend three days with friends to celebrate the birthday of my favorite Iron Man! (Mauro surname is Ferro, that means Iron ;-)
