Sole pieno, acqua pulita, temperatura mite, una leggera brezza al tramonto e tanti kayak in mare.
Il gruppo di allievi, affiatato sin dall'inizio, ha mostrato una tale sete di sapere che siamo andati ben oltre il programma previsto dal syllabus: ben prima del corso 3 stelle, due allievi hanno trascorso un'intera giornata in acqua per arrivare, con una certa velocità ed eleganza, a perfezionare il proprio rolling; durante i due giorni di corso tutti si sono cimentati in manovre di ogni genere, anche molto fantasiose e poco convenzionali, sia per le virate che per i salvataggi; al termine dell'ultima giornata, poi, c'è stato tempo sufficiente, e ancora qualche energia residua, per praticare qualche sbarco sulle rocce... Insomma, un corso completo e stimolante.
Inoltre, la calorosa ospitalità del Circolo Canoaverde ha reso l'esperienza ancor più confortevole: rimessaggio per i kayak, lavaggio dell'attrezzatura, spogliatoi separati, docce calde e, per finire in bellezza, persino un piccolo buffet imprevisto ma graditissimo in occasione della giornata di pulizia delle spiagge organizzata da Legambiente.
Come sempre accade, per me è stato molto interessante ed istruttivo vedere all'opera tante persone appassionate e determinate e capire una volta di più che c'è sempre qualcosa da migliorare, nella tecnica, nella didattica e nella vita in generale! Il kayak da mare è una grande palestra per diventare persone migliori: non si finisce mai di imparare!

That was a long, strong, hot, fun and formative week-end.
Hot sun, clear water, warm temperature, light breeze at the sunset and lot of kayaks on the sea.
The group of students was really close and motivated and it was easy to work with them all on the syllabus and also bit more: before the 3 star course, two of the students were involved in one day rolling session to develop their roll in tow different boats that required some gradual correction; during the two-days course all the partecipants were fully involved in diffentent strokes, some of them pretty unconventional and creative, such as changing direction and assisted rescues; at the end of the second day on the water, they were all very confident and with some extra energy so we went ahead and practise a couple of rock landing... In other words, a complete and exciting course.
We were all hosted by the local Canoaverde kayak club and it was good to have a place where to leave our kayaks at night, where to wash our equipment and bodies and also where to have an unexpected and pleasant brunch at the end of the beach cleaning day organized all around the country by the well-known Legambiente association.
As usually happens, it was very interesting and instructive for me have the chance to watch so many passionated and motivated people at work. It was clear to me that there always be an opportunity to increase your skills and to learn something new, both on the water and in the daily life!
Sea kayaking is a really perfect training to become a better person.
Every day is a school day!
