Bibionekayak Greenland Eskimo Trophy

First Bibionekayak Greenland Eskimo Trophy this afternoon!
The participants will be advised, judged and "certified" by Maligiaq Padilla, the only person in history to win 8 Greenland National Kayaking Championships!
A great opportunity to improve our own skills with a wellknown champion!

Vogalonga & Bibionekayak 2010

We will participate once more to the Vogalonga, this year in kayak with Maligiaq Padilla who rolls under every bridge in Venice.
I will try to fix a colored windmill on the stern of my white Greenland, a greenland style kayak excellent for doing eskimo roll... I will also hold it with me to Bibione for the International Symposium both for the saturday evening exhibition in swimming pool that for the eskimo roll courses during the week (all booked: I'll remain in the water for a looong time!).
The meeting with so many kayakers allows to deepen and increase our own knowledges about sea kayak in its endless aspects, from long paddles to competitions, from exercises on the manoeuvres to the wise own building... in short, there is a bit for all the tastes!
This is the really precious opportunity of the Bibione International Sympoisum: each one proposes what he knows and practise, in a constructive exchange that always enriches all the participants...
Let's hope obviously in the clemency of the weather!

Sea organ

Nanook of the north

During the last learning trip to the Kornati Islands, we often talk about Inuit and artic traditions... We were in kayak, absorbed in a wild and uncontaminated nature, distant from the tourist routs and with so much time to devote to the care of the soul...
In the evening, we met each other around the bottle of the storekeeper to exchange some chatter and I'm always surprise for the interest that the arctic stories arouse among the kayakers: Nanook is always with us.
For the friends of the learning trip and not only for them, I remember an old reading that offers many themes of study and research: Nanuk, the Inuit of the screen.

Kornati learning trip

We moved all yesterday to reach this angle of heaven, a little lunar location and so long from the chaotic modern style of life: the archipelago of the Kornati Islands!
We will spend there a whole week, paddling along the jagged and rocky coasts of this unbelievable assembled of islands, where the water is always a few cold and the sun illuminates the sea in a so intense way.
During the learning trip, some information about coastal navigation and sea kayak technique.
Free camping, tents on the beaches and double moka for the morning collective coffee...
the big blue sea will decide the rest of the program!

Advanced course in the Grado lagoon

I just came back from the Anglesey Sea kayak Symposium: Mauro comes to the airport to collect me and to go to Grado togheter, where we'll meet 5 boys of the CKF local Association for an advanced sea kayak course...
We already know that it will be a big fun and that we can experiment what I learnt during the intense sessions on the Atlantic sea... It is a never ending understanding!
